Head of Global Category & Supply Chain Management Ref. No: 7092

For our Client, an international company located in Kraków, we are currently looking for the above position.

 

Region: Kraków, małopolskie

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in leading Procurement operations/ processes 
  • Consulting experience will be an asset
  • Proven track record of driving change in people and processes, with strong project management, implementation and process improvement skills
  • Consultative skills and structured thought process, creative thinking/ innovative mindset
  • Ability to engage senior client management on offerings, emerging issues in focus sectors, lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations across the procurement spectrum
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to build strong partnerships, works and communicates well with all levels of  leadership (both client & internal)
  • Ability to work in matrix organization and cross functional teams
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed (average 30-40%)
  • Excellent command of English

Responsibilities:

Global Category Management:

  • Leading of all Procurement activities of strategic, tactical and operational sourcing and supply within the defined framework for the designated categories
  • Leveraging the groups buying power by means of Global Category Management (GCM) for the designated categories to ensure competitive prices and conditions,
  • Exploiting of supplier innovations to improve product development and customer satisfaction  
  • Driving the selection and management of DLHs supply base for the designated categories to meet operational and strategic requirements via professional Supplier Relationship Management (SRM),
  • Establishing efficient and stable supply chains for the group companies via adequate delegation of responsibilities to the Supply Chain Managements of the group companies while meeting the business requirements.
  • Transforming of the present business unit oriented procurement organization to a new and efficient global cluster/process oriented approach
  • Driving procurement decisions towards a group optimum in alignment with the Global Cluster strategies and the Commercial POs via approval gates
  • Ensuring consistent early involvement of Procurement (4 eyes principle) with the Commercial POs
  • Reducing group wide process cost and complexity by means of standardization and harmonization
  • Continuously driving innovations, improvements and necessary adaptations
  • Driving of the professionalization of Procurement management and staff of the respective procurement team in KRK
  • Ensures the full integration  of the procurement team into the virtual teams of the respective Global Cluster Managements.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Ensuring of a stable and efficient supply chain for all relevant goods and services of the respective BU within the defined framework and in close cooperation with the Global Cluster Managements (including embedded Global Cluster managements) 
  • Ensuring of the consistent early involvement of Procurement (4 eyes principle) within the respective BU
  • Implementation of the group-wide procurement processes and tools within the defined framework
  • Mitigation of process related risks by being compliant with internal guiding principles and external regulations and laws
  • Driving of the professionalization of Procurement management and staff of the respective procurement team in KRK
  • Ensures the full integration  of the procurement team into the virtual teams of the respective Supply Chain Managements
