Our Client is MTU Aero Engines, one of the leading manufacturers of aircraft engines and drive components who employs more than 7,100 employees. Currently we are looking for highly qualified specialists.

Requirements:

• Masters or Bachelor degree in one of the relevant fields: Economics,  Engineering, or equivalent
• Min 2 years of experience in purchasing or sales in an international environment (aerospace, automotive industry)
• Knowledge on computer-aided materials management systems such as SAP system R/3( Module MM)
• High skills in Microsoft Office
• Fluent English in writing & speaking is required (also technical language), knowledge of  the German language  would be an additional asset
• Ability to work with suppliers and external customers
• Readiness to travel abroad and to work in an international environment
• Ability to work in tight cooperation in German and Polish procurement  team environment
• Self-initiative, team spirit, analytical thinking, negotiating skills and assertiveness

Responsibilities:

• Key account for suppliers providing forged rings (raw material and finished parts)
• Development of suppliers in terms of quality, service, innovativeness & price in strong cooperation with the supplier quality departments
• Negotiating Long Term Contracts in cooperation with internal disciplines
• Ensuring on time deliveries of products and providing support  for logistical changes within the supply chain
• Implementation and monitoring of recovery measures in case of backlog situations
• Evaluation of suppliers technical capabilities and capacities
• Assessment of design changes and their on-time industrialization
• Organization & moderation of supplier workshops (e.g. Kaizen & continuous improvement) and realization agreed results
• Inventory management and active participation on optimizing dispositive processes
