Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS) operates as an international organization with a worldwide  delivery structure providing business services in the areas of Finance, HR, Revenue Accounting, Management Reporting and Procurement for entire Lufthansa Group.

Krakow Center is the main hub for the delivery organization including also central functions for the group companies covering both standard as well as customized processes for airline business. Besides operations, Krakow Center has also teams specialized in Process Management, Migration Support, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

• Min. 2 years of professional experience in the area of data analytics
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
• Good knowledge of databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, Teradata)
• Good knowledge of data acquisition and preparation, exploration and modelling (e.g. KNIME, Rapid Miner, Python, R) as well as data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Qlik) will be an asset
• Good command of English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities:

As Data Analyst you will work in our team as an integral part of the Reporting Teams in Krakow and Data Analytics Department located in Hamburg.

Together with your colleagues you work on challenging Analytics use cases, develop new ideas and state-of-the art solutions for various business areas.

Tasks:

• working in an agile (SCRUM), open minded Analytics team
• acquiring and integrating data, building models and implementing analytical prototypes or operational solutions
• collaborating closely with our domain experts to reveal insights and potentials
• participating in or leading agile projects
• using your experience (e.g. data & text mining, simulation & forecast models, pattern analysis) to implement new ideas and solutions
• keeping up-to-date by exploring new technologies
• representing the team in internal/external meetings and summits
• updating and creating process documentation
• contacting proactively with customers – independently handling of incoming/outgoing communication written and verbal
• making sure that in his / her area of responsibility the accepted service level with regards to timeliness and accuracy of the presented figures is maintained
