Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS) operates as an international organization with a worldwide delivery structure providing business services in the areas of Finance, HR, Revenue Accounting, Management Reporting and Procurement for entire Lufthansa Group.

Krakow Center is the main hub for the delivery organization including also central functions for the group companies covering both standard as well as customized processes for airline business. Besides operations, Krakow Center has also teams specialized in Process Management, Migration Support, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

• Very good knowledge of tax aspects, the significant tax mechanism (mainly indirect taxes VAT/GST)  
• Practical experience gained in tax accounting/tax acts area in an international SSC or a consultancy
• Good knowledge of general accounting rules
• Project management experience will be an asset
• Very good command of English
• IT affiliated with SAP FI (or other ERP FI system) knowledge
• Excellent command of all Windows applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent and systematic approach to work

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible to constantly improve the compliant set up of declaration processes, its documentation and communication within the scope of the company
• Participate in the reorganization project and work on process revisions of local filing and declaration processes in cooperation with center specialists and regional representatives
• Support the further development of the operational Early Warning System driven by center tax specialists
• Manage/ Oversee the tax relevant operational documentation for the global service delivery teams (process documentation, process updates, updates with central tax guidelines, instructions) 
• Be responsible for the internal control system (ICS), it’s design and implementation for local filing and declaration processes
• Further develop the tax training modular program for the global service delivery teams together with center tax specialists and corporate tax department
• Function as 3rd level support for tax inquiries, tax issues raised i.e. by center tax specialist’s, operations management and facilitate solution-making internally and with Group Companies or Corporate Tax Department in Germany
• Contribute to the regular exchange platform hosted by RtR process management, center specialists, with operational tax teams
• Support the team and the team leader in relevant upcoming projects or initiatives within the area
