Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS) operates as an international organization with a worldwide delivery structure providing business services in the areas of Finance, HR, Revenue Accounting, Management Reporting and Procurement for entire Lufthansa Group.

Krakow Center is the main hub for the delivery organization including also central functions for the group companies covering both standard as well as customized processes for airline business. Besides operations, Krakow Center has also teams specialized in Process Management, Migration Support, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

• Min. 2 years of professional experience in team management
• Experience in procurement will be an asset
• Good command of English and German, both written and spoken
• Excellent command of all Windows applications
• Leadership skills
• High communication skills and interpersonal skills

• Analytical and conceptual mindset

Responsibilities:

• Leads and develops the procurement team (leadership, coaching, training)
• Continuous process optimization – identifies and implements improvements within process steps and/or work organization (including analysis of issues/complaints and identification of preventive measures)
• Manages team performance with assigned resources, secures resource/backup planning (coverage during holidays, other absences)
• Ensures that agreed operational targets are achieved
• Is responsible for communication between concerned parties of the process (field offices, management, accounting, other departments)
• Systematically monitors team and individual performance
• Escalation management – raises awareness of potentially critical issues
• Initiates and leads team meetings
• Supports training and coaching of team members on their different levels of progress; ensures onboarding of team members according to internal guidelines – e.g. certification
• Is responsible for the development of his team members
• Evaluates his team members and initiates regular evaluation meetings
• Ensures that procedures and process documentation is up to date
• Handles administrative- and other tasks related to the team and service requested by the supervisor
